The Sundial Solar team notified our client and they found the geyser thermostat was faulty causing it to run too hot for too long and wasting a lot of energy. Just this week we saw continuous energy spike of 1,5kWs going on and off repeatedly. We first did a remote system update with the help of the team at MSPD Africa. The system still showed a very unusual power draw. We contacted the client as we knew he had borehole water pumps feeding the house and asked him to check for leaks. He found that was all in good order. He then went on to check his pool pump and found a leak and his wier was dry. He immediately switched his pump off which saved it from burning dry. We checked the system again and found that the spikes had stopped. He is now in the process of repairing his pool leak.
